An average of one abortion takes place every 28 to 30 seconds across the country and in 2025 alone, more than 110 abortions were performed in Indian River County. Many women facing unplanned pregnancies feel they have no other option.
 
With growing use of the abortion pill and the ease of access through more than 73 websites without regulation, local abortion statistics appear lower than actual. Many chemical abortions occur outside of traditional clinical settings and as a result, the number of reported clinical abortions may not fully reflect the total number of abortions taking place in our community. The battle for life is real and increasing, which means we need your support to reach her first with truth and life-affirming options. 
 
The overall number of local abortions seemingly has declined, however, increased use and access to chemical abortion has contributed to a significant rise in unreported abortions. Chemical abortions — most commonly performed using a combination of mifepristone and misoprostol — now account for approximately two-thirds of all abortions in the United States. Danco Laboratories reports that more than five million women in the U.S. have used the abortion pill since its approval in 2000.

How To Donate Funds

Since the opening of Care Net IRC in 1984, we have provided ministry to thousands of women with the message of life. We have had the privilege of seeing hundreds of babies born. We are making a difference – one life at a time.

Care Net Pregnancy Center of Indian River County is a locally organized and financed non-profit ministry. The ministry does not generate income from the women served, nor receive government funding. The Center depends upon the participation and generosity of individuals and churches who are concerned about unplanned pregnancies in Indian River County.

There is hope, but only with your help. Together with the Center’s staff, you can play a vital role in reaching out with the message of love, truth, and life.
